Brief
She’s one of Britain’s best-selling authors and she loves the site we made for her! Transworld wanted a website for Sophie Kinsella that reflects the fun nature of her novels, but also needed serious backing: able to make the most of sales channels across UK, US, Canada and Australia.
Solution
Our Creative Director James Brierley led the UCD team and created a site matching the needs of a global audience across look, feel and functionality.
With easily created links in our Amber CMS, Transworld can ensure that customers - wherever they are in the world - can buy a Sophie Kinsella book in their own currency, and through their preferred retailer.
Creating a global English language website for one of our biggest authors was always going to be a challenge. Cover artwork, publication dates, events and promotions vary significantly across the different territories, and we were faced with the task of presenting this information to Sophie’s readers (wherever in the world they might be) in a clear, concise way, whilst staying true to the style and themes of the books and encouraging interaction and engagement.
We worked closely with bpi from the concept stages through to the build and launch and their skills, commitment and attention to detail helped us achieve these goals.
