Freelance .NET Developers wanted
Current work load has created an exciting opportunity for Freelance .NET developers to join a rapidly expanding digital agency based in the Leamington Spa, Warwickshire following a series of new business wins.
Big Picture Interactive are an independent, full service digital agency established in 1995 and work with leading brands to deliver innovative multi channel online communication.
The ideal candidate will be a .NET developer experienced in building Microsoft.NET solutions using Visual Studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of applications using C# with the Microsoft.NET 3.5 and 4.0 frameworks
- Maintenance, debugging and problem-solving of existing applications
- Review product requirements in order to give development estimates and product feedback
- Assist in technical design and creation of technical specifications
- Generate technical documentation that shares knowledge effectively
Experience and qualifications required:
Essential
- Proven experience in using C# with the Microsoft.NET 3.5 and 4.0 frameworks to develop ASP.NET applications
- A good understanding of HTML standards and web accessibility
- Strong skills in working with JavaScript, ASP.NET AJAX and JQuery
- Knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008 databases to support application development
- Ability to work with a team and manage own timings to meet the demands of project schedules
Desirable
- Microsoft qualifications (MCTS and MCPD)
- Windows Communication Foundation and Web Services
- Windows Presentation Foundation and Silverlight
- Experience in using and developing for existing Content Management Systems like Umbraco, Orchard, Alterian ACM/CMC etc
- Experience with non-Microsoft development technologies like PHP and Java
- Understanding of existing project management methodologies like Prince2, Agile and MSF
- Excellent table football skills, to help regain the lead that the dev department had over the creative team
